Lanier Aquatics Meet Management Services
Experience and Equipment:
Lanier Aquatics has been timing and administering meets for well over twenty years with experience
ranging from summer dual meets to USA state championships and the Southern Zone Senior
Championships as well as all of the meets hosted by SwimAtlanta. We have wireless-capable
networking equipment and back-up computers, printers, timing console, starting devices, mics and
buttons. Our equipment allows us to time both ends of the pool so 25 yd. events can be started from the
same end as all other events (this with buttons only). We have both liability and equipment insurance
coverage.
Administration:
Lanier Aquatics will create and distribute a Team Manager entry file; receive and input entries; seed
the meet and create a master heat sheet; at the meet will receive and input the times and results from
the timing system; print out the results of each event for the host team to post; print out the awards
labels for each event; create and print out the final results at the end of the meet; create a Team
Manager results file for participating teams.
Note: The Hy-Tek Meet Management licensing policy allows Lanier Aquatics to use its copy of the
program in situations where Lanier Aquatics is the meet host/sponsor or named as a co-host/sponsor
and has swimmers participating in the event. If that is not the case, then the host organization must
provide a copy of their duly licensed program for meet management purposes.
Timing:
Lanier Aquatics has two Colorado timing systems with pads and buttons. We highly recommend using
two buttons per lane for summer league meets instead of pads as this yields more accurate results for
this level of competition and is less expensive. Note: USA Swimming recognizes times derived from two
buttons for national championship qualifying times.
Lanier Aquatics Personnel:
Lanier Aquatics uses USA-certified meet administrators and USA-certified automatic timing system
operators. One timing console operator and one computer operator will be provided for each meet, at
least one of which will be certified and will oversee the timing/scoring. The host team provides all
officials, timers, awards personnel, runners and results posters.
